Leaders from the National Delta Zeta (DZ) sorority, the Gallaudet DZ chapter, and the Delta Zeta Foundation came together at the Delta Zeta Foundation Scholarship Luncheon on October 24. Also in attendance were President Davila, theater and dance professors, Development Office staff, scholarship recipients, and student dancers. DZ has been a longtime supporter of the Gallaudet Dance Company and Theatre Arts programs at Gallaudet, sponsoring the Delta Zeta Dance Studio, and helping to purchase performance equipment and costumes. Since 1999, the Delta Zeta Foundation has given scholarships to deserving Gallaudet women, adding eight this year for a total of 59 scholarships and $115,000 in aid. The organization’s support of the performing arts at Gallaudet dates back to 1959.  |
