Back Issue: August 6, 2004 | Participants in the Children's Instructional Summer Program and Child Development Center’s summer camp had a special treat on July 16: pony rides. Here, David Linthicum, 5, guided by Anita Marchitelli, associate professor of the Physical Education Department and CISP director, enjoys a jaunt around Olmsted Green on one of the five ponies provided by "The Pony Man"/"Ponies Unlimited" of Spring Hill Farms in Waldorf, Md. Approximately 120 children, ages 4-12, attended the CISP this summer, while about 60 children, ages 2-9, attended the CDC camp.  |
